Candles

They can often add an ambiance to a room that can be very welcoming. If you think about the pumpkins lighted for Halloween and see them outside lighted under trees it immediately invites you to enjoy the glow, and you feel very warm and cosy. The same as looking at the golden orange glow when you are holding your brass fork towards the fire making toast. ok this is outdated now, but there is just something about light that draws you towards it. The same as when moths come to a lighted house. The scents and fragrances have the same effect, some people will be drawn to the floral fragrances Such as Rose carnation and and lily of the valley while others will be drawn to citrus smells and others the Vanilla and sandlewood. It is all a matter of personal taste.

Did you know that each colour of a candle can represent differnet spiritual states dpending on the Candle. What does each colour mean and how they used in different practices. When they are used during meditation they are used to create a really soothing and calming effect and represent light and life. Candles support the meditative process. For example in the aura the light that comes through is a beautiful rose pink light. So if you light a candle of this colour you are calling that power of love in your aura. If you are looking to be more abundance, then meditating with the light from a Turquoise candle can help increase that abundance and prosperity into your aura.

If you want to know the different meaning of candles

GOLD – Strength, confidence, faith, and wisdom. (If gold-folded candles cannot be found, yellow can be used.) PINK – Love, forgiveness, and compassion POWDER BLUE – Creative inspiration BRIGHT ORANGE – Motivation and enthusiasm SAPPHIRE BLUE – Healing PURPLE – Peace, serenity YELLOW – Concentration, focus, wonderful to light when studying and learning new things. EMERALD GREEN – Balance and harmony. Wonderful to us when there is friction and discord. ORANGE and BLUE – In this combination, orange can be used for purification and the sapphire blue to regenerate and bring in new life force A white candle can always be used if you cannot find the colored candle you need.

Effective space planning

If a space isn`t planned when doing interior design it won`t look effective or have any consistency to it. A properly designed space will make the room attractive and pleasing to the eye, and the colours will co-ordinate It will have the right balance of fittings textures and furniture all to match the right era and theme wanted.

There are a few things that you need to know. Once you know how you to apply the basic things, you will be able to make important decisons about the project, and it will enable you get those right. This way you can guide your client through this part of the design process, and grow your business at the same time.

In this post I can give you some ideas on space planning that are tried and proven and the client will be able to see why certain decisons were made. You can actually start on some of these methods today, and you will understand the process so much more.

You have to consider the basic layout of the room, what is required in a room, positioning of furniture, storage, shelves, cupboards, if a bedroom any furniture and shelves along with a desks if needed. The kind of room it is.

How the room is going to be used. What activities are going to be done in what rooms, and how to incorporate things into it. How the design will effect the space and layout. You have to account for everything, from lights to bed details, anything special or unusual. Learn to plan things around windows and doors.

If they are to have multi functional room. Like for instance, if one room is to be an office and a sewing room, how to plan that space, make it more effective.

By planning things out, it stops problems occuring later.

Know how you plan around what is there and maximise any of the good features of the room.

Find a new point in the room and remove any thing that is in the way and would interfere with the layout.

Balance the space out and mark the floor to have access to see how the layout will work.

Work with Design packages to measure the layout and and you could do it manually using different colour paper for furniture and tables chairs etc.

Everything is cut out on paper or by using a software can be drawn into the design so that the space can be maximised and you can see how to make the use of it.
